Growing up on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, I've spent my life surrounded by inspiration. In high school I found a passion for web development, teaching myself HTML and coding websites in my notebooks. Later, I would help our art teacher develop courses for digital art (photoshop) and HTML development.
After graduation I attended Minnesota State University Moorhead as part of the Multimedia Production program. About 2 years in I took a course in desktop video and found another passion, filmmaking. I decided to extend my stay at the university and double major, Graphic Design and Video Production.
Since completing my two bachelor programs, I have spent the last 8 years working as a web developer for a web design firm. I have led several film competition teams, taking home many awards and 2 consecutive "Best Film" awards.
Currently I live in Excelsior MN, once again along the shores of Lake Minnetonka with my wife and two sons. I work managing a web development team and doing graphic design and video production on a freelance basis.

Hand coding websites from scratch as well as utilizing responsive frameworks.
Audio & Video editing from start to finish.
Print layouts, flyers, book covers and signage.
Powerpoint graphics and templates, word processing for letterheads, etc.
Very comfortable in both a mac or PC environment. Troubleshooting and problem solving.
As the lead developer, I am the technical and creative liason to our clients. I am responsibile for coming up with the creative designs and the coding of the sites. In addition, I manage my development team to ensure that projects get completed properly, on time and to our clients' specifications.
As one of the founders of Circa Productions I played a big part in running the company. My main roles included sales, producer, director and post production. For many of our projects, I orgainized the shoots, developed the concepts and shooting schedules, hired the appropriate crew and obtained the necessary equipment. In addition, upon completion of the project I would maintain contact with clients to assure their satisfaction with our product and would quite often get return business because of our professionalism and thoroughness.
I have been a contracted freelance web developer for Clearview IT since 2009. I provide design and development services to them and their clients as needed. I have helped on a consulting basis to aide in bringing additional business from clients who had design needs beyond traditional IT services.
As a member of the marketing team at Regency I was responsible for making updates to their website, both corporate and individual school locations. During my time there we rolled out a new training manual in which I created an icon set for use in the print materials as well as designed window artwork and wall artwork to be printed for their academy locations. Utilizing the data import features of Adobe InDesign I turned what used to be a long, daunting task for the marketing team of creating thousands of name-tags for a nationwide event, into something that took only a few hours and was far more efficient and accurate.
As a member of the university web-team I worked with departments and faculty all over campus, helping them keep their pages updated, accurate and fresh. In 2005 I helped organize and implement a complete redesign of the university website, consisting of hundreds of individual pages and their assets (documents, images, forms, etc.)
While attending MN State Moorhead for Web and Graphic Design, I discovered a passion for filmmaking as well. As a result I decided to double major and persue both aspects of my creative passions, Web Design and Multimedia Production.
After taking a course in desktop video, I found a real passion for editing and decided to follow the path of film school. Once within the program I quickly found out that I also really enjoyed producing projects. I took the relationship and skills I developed in my time there and began a video production business with some of my peers.
I begain designing and coding websites in High School where I would write code by hand in my notebooks and make the sites later. I assisted the technology/art teacher in creating the first graphic design/web development course and it just seemed a natural progression that I persue the field into my post secondary education.
